The course derives from the Erasmus+ CHAMPS Project. The CHAMPS (Chess and Mathematics in Primary School) project aims to develop a new category of “chess-maths” exercises in which mathematical games and puzzles are represented in a chess format. Read more

An effective approach for developing children’s cognitive and movement skills through chess on a giant board. The course is based on the concept of “Psychomotricity” from the Alfiere Bianco company (Italy) and refined during the award-winning Erasmus+ CASTLE Project. Children become central figures in gameplay, progressively developing their sensory-motor skills by requiring the use of active intelligence. Read more

This interactive course shows how different strategy games can be used in conjunction with teaching chess to keep children motivated by providing a wider variety of games. We introduce several games playable on a chessboard. It`s a variety of chess mini-games, chess variants, chessy math & logic puzzles, and other strategy games. Read more

The CGS Platform provides instructional materials for the classroom for various ages through four Models that educators can integrate into their teaching practice. The platform supports teachers in remote teachers’ training, who have been the trainers of their colleagues.

In June 2024, we launched an Academic Training Course in collaboration with the University of the Aegean and the European Chess Union. We recognised the increasing demand for Chess in Education and the need for a comprehensive training course to support chess educators. Read more
We are incredibly proud to provide a collaborative platform through our training courses, discussion group meetings and various projects where educators can exchange ideas, resources and support each other with their expertise. This vibrant community has tremendous knowledge, experience and willingness to learn from one another.
By partnering with Clubs, Educational Institutions, Schools, Universities, and National Federations, the Education Commission seeks to establish chess as a fundamental component of the educational framework, providing students with a holistic learning experience.
